Praying the Psalms

The Psalms are the prayer book of Israel and of the Church: praise, sorrow, trust, repentance, and hope are all welcome there. Pray one slowly until a line becomes your own prayer today.

2. 2Read it once without trying to analyze it.
3. 3Read it again and pause at the line that catches you.
4. 4Repeat that line to God, then sit quietly.
